Witt Leads Warhawks to Outdoor Championships

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -

UW-Whitewater junior Parker Witt is fast. That's the easy way to put it, but Witt is one of the fastest sprinters in the country and the fastest in the 100 meter and 200 meter run in NCAA Division III.

Witt  was recently named WIAC Track Athlete of the Championship Meet as well as USTFCCCA Track Athlete of the Week. He has the No. 1 times in both the 100 meters (10.42) and 200 meter dash (20.99).

"It's cool to think about that you are the best I guess out of all of those division three school." Said Witt. "I don't know, I think the more that I think about it the pressure I put on myself. I go into it and do what I have always done."

As a team, the Warhawks are ranked No. 3 in division three nationally. Next up, members of the Warhawk men's and women's teams will compete at the Outdoor Track and Field National Championship meet, held in Geneva, Ohio later this week.
