MADISON (WKOW) -- The 2017 Capitol Christmas tree arrived in Madison on Tuesday. The 40-foot balsam fir was harvested in the Town of Emery and donated by Jim Ryf.
The 2017 State Capitol Christmas tree was transported by Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association.
“This year’s State Capitol Christmas tree will have the added privilege of honoring the Capitol’s centennial with ornaments from school children around the state,” Governor Walker said. “We thank Jim Ryf for donating this tree and are looking forward to seeing it decorated.”
