WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKOW) -- The White House says there's a good chance President Donald Trump signs the Republican tax bill on Friday.
Congress added language to the bill on Thursday to ensure the president's signature before 2018 wouldn't trigger automatic spending cuts.
The bill already has Rep. Paul Ryan's signature on it. The house speaker and Senator Orrin Hatch signed it Thursday morning. Speaker Ryan says the tax reform plan will improve American lives.
"We know this is the greatest country on Earth and we know that America has better days ahead. And we know that America has so much more potential to tap. This bill taps that potential," Ryan says.
The legislation is the most sweeping tax overhaul in the country in 30 years.
