MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Foxconn is buying a prime piece of real estate in downtown Milwaukee.

The company is purchasing a 7-story building for its new headquarters.

Foxconn says it'll be a new incubator for technology and innovation.

Governor Scott Walker says the new headquarters and Foxconn's plant in Racine County are a sign of a manufacturing comeback.

"Of all the places in the world that Foxconn can introduce this new 8K technology to build LCD panels, for the first time making them here in America proudly in the United States, but even more proudly here in the state of Wisconsin."

Officials say the new headquarters will bring hundreds of jobs to Milwaukee.

Critics of the state's deal with Foxconn are concerned about the billions of dollars of incentives going to the tech giant.
