WAUNAKEE (WKOW) -

Javian Dayne had to be patient, but he eventually found the right lane to run towards his football future. The Waunakee running back signed with Boston College. Dayne helped lead Waunakee to a state championship as a senior. Now, the son of Badgers great Ron Dayne will move on to the next level and out of his father's shadow.

"I'm ready to carve out my own legacy. It's going to be different being away from my family. I haven't been away from them ever. I feel like it'll be a journey that I'm willing to take. It'll be the first step into carving out my own name. So, I'm ready."

Dayne's teammate, Riley Zuhde, also signed with Augustana University.
