MT. PLEASANT (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin man who was run over in a grocery store parking lot is ready to talk about what happened.
Authorities say a driver trying to get away from deputies drove right into Jeff Coopman and his wife Cheryl as they walked out of a shopping center in Mount Pleasant last month.
Jeff lost his left leg, broke his pelvis and suffered tears in his kidneys.
"I try not to replay it. I really don't. I just had a split second to see what was happening.  and I kind of jumped over the front of the car a little bit. Of course I took it from here down," he told WISN.
Coopman's wife Cheryl is in worse shape.
She lost a leg and an arm, has multiple broken bones and a traumatic brain injury.
Deputies say the suspected driver faces 27 felonies and decades in prison.
