Fat Tuesday, Milwaukee style

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Fat Tuesday means paczki (pronounced: POONCH key) day in Milwaukee.
People lined up before dawn outside one of the most popular bakeries, National Bakery and Deli, anxious to sink their teeth into the famous donut that's fried and filled with jelly or drizzled with icing.
"It obviously started, as a Polish tradition with the pazcki, but I think with the popularity of Mardi Gras and everything it's taken on a life of it's own," Bryant Krauss of National Bakery & Deli told WISN.
Staff members at the bakery worked overnight to have everything ready for the day.
They cranked out about 44,000 donuts.
