Madison Black Chamber of Commerce hosts inaugural awards dinner

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Black Chamber will salute the Black Business Community for its innovation, leadership and the movers and shakers in Madison.

On Thursday, Camille Carter, President of the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the inaugural event.

The organization will recognize the more than 300 Black owned businesses that bring creativity, innovation and economic impact to the city of Madison.

The event will be held Thursday, February 22 from 5-8:30 p.m. at Best Western Premier Park Hotel on the Capitol Square. 

Networking begins at 5 p.m., and the awards program and formal dinner begin at 6 p.m. The Madison Black Chamber of Commerce will be presenting local Black businesses with the President’s Award, Youth of the Year Award, Innovation Award, Young Entrepreneur Award and a Milestone Recognition. 

Featured speakers include: Andrew Bentley, Aaron Perry and Jason Fields.
