The Badgers honored one of their all-time greats during their game against Purdue. Wisconsin officially retiring Frank Kaminsky's No. 44 jersey during a halftime ceremony. They raised a banner with his name and number to the rafters of the Kohl Center.

"There are so many different names that have been more than worthy to have their name and jersey number put up there. I just question why I'm the first one. I guess I was just lucky enough to be in the right situation and here at the right time," Kaminsky said before the ceremony.

Kaminsky was the 2015 consensus National Player of the Year while leading the Badgers to a second straight Final Four appearance. He is the first player in Wisconsin history to win the Wooden Award, Naismith Trophy, Oscar Robertson Trophy and Kareem Abdjul-Jabbar Award. Still, he credited his teammates, many of which made the trip to join him on the court, for playing a huge role in his success.

"Obviously, my number is the one going up in the rafters, but there's so much more behind it."

Kaminsky is currently playing for the Charlotte Hornets. He is averaging 10.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season.
