VERONA (WKOW) -- The Verona Area Community Theater is excited to present William Inge’s “Bus Stop” as its debut performance in its new facility.
On Wednesday, Marsha Heuer and Dale Nickels stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about their upcoming performance.
The show will run February 16-24 at their new facility located at 103 Lincoln Street.
“Bus Stop” is a play that is set in the middle of a howling snowstorm in 1955. A bus coming out of Kansas City pulls up at a roadside diner because all of roads are blocked due to the storm. Several weary travelers have to hole up until morning.
“I have wanted VACT to produce this show for a long time,” explains Nickels. “I couldn’t be more proud of all of the talent that this cast will present onstage. They have created such strong and interesting characters with excellent chemistry on stage. It’ll be fun for both the actors and audience to experience a more intimate theater setting for this show.”
Nickels also commented that performing in the new theater will allow the audience to have drinks in the theater with them. VACT has been able to obtain a liquor license for this show and will be able to sell beer, wine, coffee, soda, and water during the show.
