Police release surveillance photo of person of interest in liquor store shooting

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Police Department has released two surveillance images showing what they say is the potential getaway car and a person of interest in the shooting of a 26-year-old man.

Police responded to a liquor store at 4217 West Beltline Hwy at 7:19 p.m, Feb. 21, 2018 for a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived and were in the process of gathering witness information and evidence when a 26-year-old man showed up at a local hospital. 

The man confirmed he was at the liquor store. He sustained a non-life-threatening injury from being shot, according to police department incident report

Police believe this was a targeted event, and the suspect remains at-large and the investigation continues.

On Friday, the MPD's Violent Crime Unit released two surveillance images from the shooting scene. 

One shows a person of interest, however the camera did not capture the person's head

The second image is of a possible getaway car.
