MADISON (WKOW) -- Wake Up Wisconsin anchor Brandon Taylor will be leaving WKOW next week.

Taylor, who co-anchors with Dani Maxwell and Meteorologist Branden Borremans from 4:30 - 7:00 a.m. is set to depart Friday, March 9.

"After four wonderful years, I've decided to leave Wisconsin and move closer to my family in the Carolinas," said Taylor.  "I've grown to love southern Wisconsin. The people, places, food and, of course, the loyal viewers who have made this one of the best jobs in television."

Brandon joined WKOW in April of 2014 and has been a big part of the success the show has seen during his tenure.

"I always enjoyed watching Brandon interact with our viewers at various festivals and events because it was clear they loved him, just like we all do here at WKOW," said Ed Reams, WKOW news director.

The station is planning fun things leading up to Brandon's last day on Wake Up Wisconsin, so make sure you tune in next week.
