MADISON (WKOW) -

Verona boys' hockey beat Notre Dame de la Baie Adacemy, 4-1, in the WIAA quarterfinal on Thursday afternoon.

The Wildcats were led by Brockton Baker and Mack Keryluk, who each had two goals in the win.  In the net, goalie Gahrett Kaegi had 29 saves.

"We're coming up in big games and we're playing our game and we're pulling through every single game," said Baker, a junior forward.  "We have trust in every single teammate we have."

With the win, Verona will face Hudson in the semifinals on Friday.  This is Verona's first trip back to the WIAA tournament since winning the championship in 2014.  It's the team's seventh appearance in the state tournament.
