Major highways clear Tuesday morning, some roads still snow-covered

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Most major highways are clear of snow Tuesday morning, but there are some that are still snow-covered and slippery.

Dane, Iowa, Rock and Green County authorities report their major highways and interstates are clear. Side streets, rural roads, ramps and parking lots in those counties could still have snow on them Tuesday morning.

Sauk, Juneau, Columbia and Grant Counties are reporting snow-covered and slippery roads.

No one is reporting serious crashes, just slide-offs and minor accidents.

Highway crews in most counties have been out overnight working to clear roads. Some started up at 4:00 a.m. again after taking a break for a few hours.

There are some school delays in the area. Click here for a list.
