College Softball: Badgers win second straight with 6-2 victory over UNI

MADISON (WKOW) -

The Wisconsin softball team scored three runs in the third inning and never looked back on their way to a 6-2 win over Northern Iowa Tuesday afternoon at the Goodman Diamond.

Kelsey Jenkins started the scoring for the Badgers with an RBI single in the third. Sydney Lawson scored off of the hit. The scoring in the third didn't end there for Wisconsin, with two outs, and two on, Brooke Wyderski drove in two more runs to complete the three run inning. 

Lauren Foster picked up an RBI in the fourth inning, and Gabby Scherle and Wyderski added two more runs at the plate in the fifth inning to complete the Badgers' six run day in the 6-2 win.

With the win, Wisconsin improves to (15-11) overall. The Badgers will now hit the road for the next six games starting in Columbus, OH against Ohio State on Friday.
