Badgers' Taylor spends spring break catching passes from his QB

MADISON (WKOW) -

Spending a college spring break in California is not an unusual choice. However, Badgers receiver AJ Taylor turned that vacation into a work trip. He flew out to San Diego with quarterback Alex Hornibrook to train with private quarterbacks coach George Whitfield. Taylor received some pointers during the week from former NFL receiver Lance Moore.

"The biggest thing I learned is don't let anybody tell you you can't really, no matter how you are," said Taylor of the experience. "As long as you're working hard, as long as you're with the right people, you can make it."

The junior receiver is coming off a season in which he caught 31 passes for 475 yards and five touchdowns. With Quintez Cephus, Danny Davis and Kendric Pryor also returning, the Badgers should have a loaded receiving corps. Wisconsin will also return their entire starting offensive line, star running back Jonathan Taylor and, of course, Hornibrook. So, Taylor is expecting big things from the offense.

"We have a lot of weapons on the team this year. It's going to be how we use it. I feel like now, we can't go into the mindset of we are going to dominate. I think  we always have to work. We have a good group of guys that want to be the best. If we keep working and grinding, we can get to that point, but I don't want to say that is going to be us right now. We still got to work and grind."
