Three injured in Janesville shots-fired incident

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Janesville police are investigating a shots-fired incident where four people where injured and at least one suspect may be hiding out in a home.

Police were called at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, to a home in the 1800 block of S. Osborne St. following a report of shots fired.

Two victims were located at a residence in the 1800 block of S. Osborne Avenue and a third victim at a residence in the 1700 block of S. Osborne Avenue. A fourth subject believed to be the suspect was located a short distance away.

The three victims were transported to area hospitals. One victim has multiple gunshot wounds and another has a serious injury to her head. Both of these victims are in critical condition. The other victim is still hospitalized, but injuries appear to be non-life threatening. The person believed to be the sole suspect has minor injuries and is still hospitalized for observation.

The incident is believed to be domestic in nature. The incident location has been secured by the Janesville Police Department SWAT team and there is no further risk to the public.
