UPDATE: All lanes back open on interstate near Janesville after 2 semi crashes

UPDATE (WKOW) --  All lanes are now open on the interstate near Janesville after two crashes early Wednesday morning.

All northbound (westbound) lanes were closed for a few hours after an accident involving a semi. That was near Wisconsin 11.

One lane heading southbound (eastbound) was also closed during the same time period, but that lane has since opened near U.S. 14. That crash also involved a semi.


UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation reports that ALL northbound (westbound) lanes of I-90 are now blocked in the incident near Wisconsin 11.


ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- Two crashes on the interstate near Janesville have closed some lanes of traffic.

Both were reported at nearly the same time, around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 4.

The first crash is on I-39/90 near mile marker 178 in the westbound/northbound lanes. That's near Wisconsin 11. The right lane is closed at this time.

The second crash happened about 3 minutes later and a few miles north of the first near U.S. 14, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. But the second was in the eastbound/southbound lanes. The left lane of the interstate is blocked there.
