MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison man convicted of robbing a bank will spend 10 years in federal prison.

The Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin says Reginald Morris, 47, pleaded guilty to bank robbery.

Authorities say Morris robbed the Associated Bank on Cottage Grove Road in Madison in March of 2017. During the crime, Morris handed a bank teller a note that claimed he had a bomb. After getting cash, Morris wanted the note back, but the teller refused to give it to him.

Surveillance cameras in the bank captured pictures of Morris and once police released those pictures, several people called to identify him as the robber.
