MADISON (WKOW) - Personnel with state and local agencies raided a Madison auto business Thursday, removing cartons of material and cordoning off the property.

The law enforcement action included the presence of Madison Police officers and took place at Dave's Auto at 4822 Pflaum Road.

Wisconsin Department of Revenue spokesperson Patty Mayer says department officials will offer no comment on this ongoing investigation.

When contacted by 27 News, business owner Dave Henry said law enforcement officials "overreacted, but the matter's been taken care of," without offering any specifics.

Records show Henry's business owes the state $538,000 in unpaid withholding, sales and income taxes, plus fees.  Online state data also show the sum fails to qualify Henry as one of the top one hundred tax delinquents in Wisconsin.
