Abundant sunshine this weekend, but flooding still possible

MADISON (WKOW) -- Though abundant sunshine is called for on Saturday and Sunday, a weak cold front will continue to track our way.

It will bring with it slightly cooler conditions with a few showers and storms and flood warnings remain in effect for Crawford, Grant, Green Lake, Richland and Sauk Counties in Wisconsin.

In Sauk County, the Baraboo River At Reedsburg at 8:00 AM Saturday was at 14.8 feet, Flood stage is 14.0 feet.  There is general inundation of lowland
in the Reedsburg area 

In Richland County, the Flood Warning continues for the Kickapoo River at Viola until Monday evening...or until the warning is cancelled.
 At 8:07 AM Saturday, the river was at 16.5 feet.  Flood stage is 14.0 feet.  Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is also forecast.
 Forecast...The river has crested or nearly crested and is expected to continue to fall.

in Grant County, as well as Crawford County, the flood warning continues for the Mississippi River at McGregor until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.  At 9:45 AM Saturday, the stage was 18.2 feet; flood stage is 16.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring and a moderate flooding threat is forecast.

The river will continue rising to near 19.5 feet by Tuesday evening then begin falling. Impact : the water is expected to climb to `9.6 feet.                                      The road to the Prairie du Chien waste water treatment facility is flooded.
