GREEN COUNTY (WKOW) -- A social media post being shared in Green County highlights the concern about a woman who may be at-risk.

Police in three Green County communities have responded to calls about bizarre encounters with a woman with ties to Dubuque, Iowa. The social media posts include photos of the suspect woman who in two cases, which police have confirmed, showed up in homes in Juda and Brodhead unannounced.

The social media posting from one of the homeowners who encountered the woman has been shared more than 2,300 times. According to Brodhead Police, contact was made with the woman before the entire scope of her alleged activities were known.

The police official says no homeowner pressed charges. She was interviewed and released.

Monroe Police have opened an investigation into the woman's alleged activities, after a Monroe driver reported her car was followed by the woman's car, with the woman passing other cars to stay behind her.  The driver's father tells 27 News the woman followed his daughter's car all the way to the family home, where his presence outside might have frightened the woman away.  He says his daughter was frightened by what happened.  "She was freaked out," he says.  The father and daughter are not being identified, as the woman's whereabouts have not been confirmed.

Green County Sheriff Chief Deputy Tom Moczynski tells 27 News his personnel are handling the Juda case and simply want to interview the woman to make sure she is safe, and that neither she nor others will be put at risk.

"With someone entering an unsecured or unlocked residence and surprising someone, there is the potential for danger,"  Moczynski tells 27 News.

Dubuque Police Lieutenant Joe Messerich says the woman is 54.  He says his department has had contact with the woman in the past.

One of the woman's family members says it is believed the woman is in Darlington.  The family member expresses concern the woman may be a danger to herself or others if she continues to trespass properties.
