He was being booked into the Dane County Jail at about 12:45 a.m., when during the fingerprinting process, he began to grab and punch the deputies; slamming one into a nearby counter.

A Taser was deployed during the incident and deputies were ultimately able to restrain him.

After being evaluated by medical and mental health staff, Lenington was placed in a segregation cell until he could complete the booking process safely. Two counts of battery to a law enforcement officer will be referred to the district attorney.

The female deputies injured during the incident, ages 30 and 42, were both were treated and released from the hospital.
