OSHKOSH (WKOW) -- Miss Wisconsin 2018 was crowned Saturday night in Oshkosh.
Miss Wood Violet Tianna Vanderhei is the new Miss Wisconsin. Among her many accolades, Vanderhei is a former journalist at our La Crosse sister station, WXOW. Her stories used to be featured frequently on WKOW's statewide broadcast, Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend.
Vanderhei also won the CMN Miracle Make Award, the Overall Interview Award and the Overall Dancer Award.
Vanderhei now moves on the the national Miss America competition in Atlantic City on September 9.
Runners up include Miss Seen Rivers Jessica Hammer (1st), Miss South Central Elise O'Connell (2nd) and Miss La Crosse Oktoberfest (3rd).
