MADISON (WKOW) -- Every year dozens of families in Wisconsin welcome a foster child into their household, giving them the chance to live a normal life full of rewards and successes.
Dennis Nielsen and his wife, Twila, from Mauston, currently have four teenage boys in their care and have taken in about 30 boys in 13 years. They are about to celebrate another high school graduation with one of the boys.
Dennis' foster son, Alex, just graduated high school and is preparing to head off to college.
Dennis and Alex joined the Wake Up Wisconsin team to talk about being a foster family as well as how others can get involved in the foster care system.
You can watch their full interview above.
