MADISON (WKOW) -

Wrestling practice one morning, and board five different flights halfway across the world the next. Stoughton senior Hunter Lewis has traveled the world to wrestle and this week he's adding another country to his list for the Cadet World Championships in Croatia.

At 17-years-old, Lewis will represent team USA, part of a10 member of the Greco Team.

Lewis is the 2017 Cadet Fargo Greco-Roman champion and 2018 Cadet Pan American champion in Greco and freestyle at 55 kilograms, roughly 121 pounds.

"I never really thought I would be on a world team I guess," Said Lewis. "I never really thought that when I was young, but this grew into more of a goal once I got older."
Lewis started competing in other countries when he was in sixth grade. He has since been to 18 countries and will be a senior at Stoughton High School this fall.

Former Stoughton wrestling stand out, Tyler Dow is also a member of the U.S. Junior World Greco-Roman Team, which will compete at the Junior World Championships in Trnava, Slovakia, Sept. 17-23 at 72 kilograms (158 pounds).

Both Lewis and Dow train at Advance School of Wrestling in Madison.
