MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development announced Monday that Imperia Foods of Fall Creek, Wisconsin will cut 60 jobs at its cheese slicing facility.
The parent company of Imperia, Schuman Cheese, plans on installing two new, state-of-the-art cheese lines over the coming months.
The move will result in the elimination of 15 positions immediately with another 36 positions over the next 60 days, says Workforce Development.
Schuman Cheese is based in New Jersey.
It purchased the former Greenwood packaging company a year ago. The 54-thousand square foot facility in Fall Creek produces hard Italian cheeses.
