MADISON (WKOW) --- Madison is getting ready to show its culinary diversity during the third-annual Black Restaurant Week.
The Madison Black Chamber of Commerce is encouraging people to dine out at black-owned businesses during the week-long event. This year's theme is authentic food.
Camille Carter, president of Madison Black Chamber of Commerce, joined the Wake Up Wisconsin team to talk about what the week entails, including some new things they're featuring this year.
The week, which has participation from businesses across Madison, from Sun Prairie to the west side of Madison, is dedicated to the memory of Bonefish Grill Owner Rod Ladson, who died in July.
Black Restaurant Week starts August 12 and goes through August 19.
