Independent group sends incorrect polling location info to Janesville voters

Posted: Updated:

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Some Janesville voters have recently received postcards from an independent group not affiliated with the city that contained incorrect voting locations.

According to a city of Janesville news release, the postcards from the Voting Project contain incorrect polling locations for wards that have recently been moved.

The Voting Project's postcards were not issued by the city, according to the news release.

Voters whose polling locations have been changed have previously been notified of the new polling place by the city.

Voters who previously voted at Washington Elementary School will now vote at Faith Lutheran Church.

Voters who previously voted at Edison Middle School will now vote at the Rock County Job Center.

All voters are encouraged to confirm their polling place by visiting myvote.wi.gov.

Contact the Clerk-Treasurer's Office with any elections related questions at (608) 755-3070.
