Clothes for Kids Program ensures all kids go back to school in style

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- East Towne and West Towne Malls are partnering up with the Community Action Coalition for South-Central Wisconsin to help every kid go back to school in style.

This is the 14th year of the annual Clothes for Kids Program.

The coalition identifies families in need.

At both malls, there's currently a school bus display with tags on it  -- with each tag representing a specific child,  their size as well as what items they need.  The kids range from kindergarteners to seniors in high school.

"We all remember going back to school with our back to school outfit," said East and West Towne Malls Marketing Director, Tiffany Bernhardt. "It is so exciting to go back to the classroom feeling comfortable in what you're wearing."

The displays will be up through August 30th.

People can sponsor a student by buying the items requested and bringing it back to the designated area.

Everything is anonymous. The coalition gets the items back to the family.
