MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin's Veterans Affairs Secretary John Scocos is returning to Iraq.
Gov. Jim Doyle announced Friday that Scocos is being deployed for active duty in Iraq in September. He previously served in Iraq from April to October 2007.
The 52-year-old Scocos is a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and has more than 28 years of active and reserve service.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Ken Black will serve as acting secretary in Scocos' absence.
