MADISON (WKOW) -- 67-year-old David Floyd is being held in the Dane County Jail in connection with the bomb scares on Capitol Square Tuesday and Wednesday.
Police say a robot checked out the bag, but nothing was detonated.
This comes one day after police detonated a backpack hanging from a tree on the Capitol Square.
Police Spokesman Joel DeSpain says the contents of the backpack left on Tuesday "looked like an IED."
Police tell 27 news that construction workers saw the man who left the backpack Tuesday.
We're told they gave a good description of the man to police, and the construction workers were told if they see him again, to call police.
They say they saw him today and called police.
When they came down, there was an altercation between Floyd, the suspect, and police.
Police say Floyd was taken into custody for questioning and had items of concern on his person.
