MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Aurora Health Care, Inc., has agreed to pay $250,000 to settle an air pollution lawsuit.
The Wisconsin Justice Department alleges Milwaukee-based Aurora violated state air pollution laws at facilities the company built and runs in Brown, Manitowoc, Winnebago, Washington and Kenosha counties.
The suit alleges Aurora failed to obtain pollutant source construction and operation permits and violated emission limits and other air pollution control requirements.
Aurora officials in Milwaukee didn't immediately return messages.
