MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The federal government has given the Wisconsin Department of Commerce an $800,000 grant to help counties recover from this past spring's floods.
The money comes from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development.
State officials say they'll use it to hire recovery coordinators to help affected businesses and communities restore operations.
The money will primarily go to Sauk, Columbia, Dodge, Washington, Ozaukee, Dane, Jefferson, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Rock, Racine and Kenosha counties.
