MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A state investigator says has found probable cause state Department of Justice officials violated Wisconsin whistle blower laws when they demoted a top detective.
Joell Schigur was one of the agency's top Internet crime investigators.
She alleges her supervisor demoted her from Public Integrity Bureau director after she questioned using state agents to protect Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen at the Republican National Convention.
State Department of Workforce Development Equal Rights Officer Raymond G. Mejia writes in a report filed Friday the move amounted to disciplinary action and enough evidence exists to take the matter to a hearing.
