Sun Prairie (WKOW) -- from Sun Prairie PD: Monday night, the Sun Prairie Police Department responded to the 100 block of N. Bristol St. for a report that a 35-year-old male had been stabbed.
The victim was a transported by Sun Prairie EMS to UW hospital in Madison with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation revealed that the victim was stabbed during an argument between roommates and the suspect had fled the scene.
Area law enforcement agencies were notified of the incident.
Early Tuesday morning, the Sun Prairie PD was notified by the Columbia County Sheriff's Department that they were in pursuit of the suspect, southbound on highway 151.
The suspect, 30-year-old Shane M. Segner of Sun Prairie, was pursued into Sun Prairie where the pursuit ended in the suspect vehicle crashing into a stop sign at the intersection of Linncrud and S. Bristol St.
Segner was taken into custody without incident, uninjured.
No deputies or officers were injured as a result of the incident.
The suspect was charged by Columbia County Sheriff's Office with the following: Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, Operating While Intoxicated 4th offense, Operating After Revocation 4th offense, various other traffic violations and an outstanding Jefferson County Warrant for Operating After Revocation 3rd offense.
Additional charges in regards to the stabbing in Sun Prairie are pending.
