Deputies with the Grant County Sheriff's Department arrested two men Friday night after finding approximately 26 pounds of marijuana and around 90 marijuana plants in and around a rural Muscoda home.
According to a news release, Deputy Vance VanKirk and his police dog were on patrol when they noticed a "suspicious vehicle" off county highway G in the town of Castle Rock. The deputy found six pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. At that time, VanKirk arrested Nathan W. Gedko, 29, or Madison and William H. Gedko, 61, of Muscoda. Both were in the vehicle. They were taken to the Grant County Jail.
Investigators then used a search warrant on Saturday to enter William Gedko's home at 16408 county highway G. They found another 20 pounds of marijuana inside the home, along with about 90 marijuana plants.
The street value is estimated to be about $40,000, according to the release. The Gedko's face tentative charges of manufacturing marijuana. Additional charges are still pending.
