Roxbury man shot multiple times in domestic dispute


The Dane County Sheriff's Office issued the following news release Sunday morning:

"Madison, WI: On 10/05/08 at approximately 3:40am Dane County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to 7554 USH 12 in the Town of Roxbury for a disturbance involving a man who had been shot.

"Dane County Deputies and officers from Sauk Prairie responded to the residence and found Douglas D. Deviney had been shot multiple times following a violent domestic incident. Deviney was transported by ambulance to Sauk Hospital and transferred to UW Hospital by Med-Flite helicopter. He is in stable condition and is expected to survive the injuries.

"This was not a random act and all involved participants are accounted for and the firearm has been recovered. The persons involved are all well aquainted with each other.

"The Dane County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the incident and will be consulting with the DA's Office to determine a charging disposition. Additional information will be realeased as it becomes available."
