Madison (WKOW) -- An Kraft/Oscar Meyer spokesperson spoke with 27 News on Monday to reveal their layoff plans.
Syd Lindner said nineteen workers from the office side of the company's Madison office will be laid off.
Hourly employees will not be affected.
This is roughly one percent of the workforce at their Madison facilities.
The layoffs are planned for sometime in November.
Employees were notified Monday that there would be an all workforce reduction in Novemeber and individuals impacted had a specific conversation with their manager and human resources.
Employees were given a severance package with enhanced medical coverage and outplacement services.
At this time, Kraft/Oscar Mayer does not anticipate any additional layoffs but did underscore that Kraft's input costs have soared to unprecedented levels and there are no signs of those costs diminishing soon.
