Madison fugitive caught in Janesville

Madison (WKOW) -- from Madison PD:  Tuesday afternoon, the Madison Police Department contacted the Janesville Police Department advising that 17-year-old Tremell D. Marshall of Madison and Janesville was driving to an address in Janesville. 

  The Madison Police Department requested that Marshall be taken into custody for the following domestic related charges:

  • Substantial Battery
  • Strangulation
  • Stalking
  • 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety

  Responding officers met with Madison detectives and attempted to contact Marshall at 2900 Kennedy Road, Janesville. 

  Officers were informed that Marshall could be armed with a handgun. 

  When calling on the apartment, Marshall refused to answer the door and barricaded the entrance. 

  Officers secured the area assuring the safety of nearby citizens. 

  The Janesville SWAT team responded to the scene and after a brief attempt to communicate with Marshall by removing glass from a window; both Marshall and a female occupant exited the apartment. 

  Marshall was turned over to Madison Detectives pending his return to Dane County.
