Two robberies overnight around campus

Madison (WKOW) -- from Madison PD:  The Madison police department is looking for two different suspects in two strongarm robberies near the UW-Madison campus last night.

  At 11:14 Tuesday night, a Madison resident was entering her apartment building at 2301 S. Park St. when she was confronted by the suspect.

  The suspect displayed a handgun.

  The suspect took her money and fled on foot.

  The victim was not injured.

  The suspect in this robbery is described as a male Hispanic, 5'10 in his 20's.

  He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and baggly blue jeans.

  At 1:39 Wednesday morning, two Madison residents were walking together on the bike path near Charter when they were confronted by a different suspect.

  The suspect displayed a handgun, took money from one of the victims and fled.

  The second vicitm did not have any money on his person.

  Neither victim was injured during the incident.

  The suspect in this robbery is described as an African-American male, 6'0-6'02 in height and weighing 200 to 240 lbs.

  The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, dark blue pants and a black baseball cap.
