Madison (WKOW) -- from wisdems.org: Former Governor Tommy G. Thompson issued a stunning rebuke of John McCain's presidential campaign in an interview printed in TheNew York Times Sunday, revealing that he doesn't know a single person in Wisconsin who is happy with the McCain campaign.
When asked if he was happy with the campaign, he simply replied, "No."
"Last week Tommy Thompson got an up close and personal look at John McCain's low-road campaign and he didn't like what he saw," said Joe Wineke, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair. "Tommy Thompson knows just as well as anyone in Wisconsin that voters are craving steady leadership and real solutions in a time of economic crisis, not the disgusting, false character attacks that John McCain is leveling on Barack Obama."
Thompson's revelation followed a two day, three-stop McCain-Palin swing through Wisconsin, in which the former Governor served as McCain's warm-up-act.
