Green Bay Packers cornerback Al Harris' spleen injury showed significant improvement in medical tests and he could return later this month, according to Packers coach Mike McCarthy.
McCarthy says Harris would be "hard-pressed" to play against Indianapolis on Sunday despite his improvement. But the Packers have a bye next week, and McCarthy said it was "realistic" to expect him back after that.
Harris made his first Pro Bowl last season and typically takes on the opposing team's top receiver. He was injured in the first quarter of Green Bay's loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 21.
