Pastor John Clark and his congregation prayed Sunday for economic recovery at Evangel Life Center in Madison.
MADISON (WKOW) -- The economy has gotten so bad that some people in Madison looked for divine intervention to solve their money problems.
Pastor John Clark of the Evangel Life Center asked his parishoners to bring in all their financial documents to Sunday's service.
They placed everything on the altar steps and said a mass prayer for economic and personal relief. "A bunch of people are trying to sell houses, they can't seem to get those sold," said Clark. "People are bringing the books to their business down, bringing thier retirement accounts down, their 401(k)'s their 403(b)'s."
One woman even brought in her son's ACT scores, with the hope that prayer would help him get a college scholarship.
Church members say they were encouraged to bring their friends and neighbors to the prayer service.
