Sherer officially Wisconsin's starter at QB

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Despite throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns in Wisconsin's loss to Iowa on Saturday, Dustin Sherer is officially the team's starting quarterback.

Sherer started for Allan Evridge for the first time this season but couldn't lead the Badgers to victory.

  Wisconsin lost 38-16.

But Sherer is named as the team's starting quarterback on the depth chart handed out Monday in advance of coach Bret Bielema's news conference.

Evridge is listed third after sophomore Scott Tolzien.

Sherer was 17-of-34 for 161 yards and two interceptions in the game.

Tolzien was 4-of-7 for 90 yards and one interception. Evridge, a senior, didn't play in the game.
