Madison (WKOW) -- from Madison PD: Madison police responded to three separate beating incidents over the weekend.
Early Saturday morning, around 2:00 a.m., Madison Police responded to the 1300 block of Regent Street after a man was struck with a military-style green helmet.
The victim says a man accused him of touching his girlfriend, and then whacked him a few times with the helmet.
The victim was unable to provide a description of the perpetrator.
The victim needed a dozen stitches after suffering facial and head cuts.
On Halloween night, around 11:41 p.m., Madison Police were called to a Mound Street parking lot following a fight.
One victim was found unconscious.
A couple of his friends said they had been at a nearby house party on the 1100 block of Mound Street, and ended up in this parking lot fighting with some other guys.
They were not sure what caused the clash, but believed their unconscious friend could have said something to spark the dispute.
They also were not sure how he became unresponsive, but believe he was likely punched.
He was taken to a local hospital.
The injured men were unable to give any descriptions of those with whom they had fought.
Early Sunday morning, private security guards contacted Madison Police about a man who needed medical attention.
The victim says he was punched and kicked by two men while he was walking on State Street.
Prior to the attack, the victim says he had made remarks about how some women were wearing very revealing costumes at Freakfest.
Two women, in earshot of his verbiage, took offense to his comments and started striking him.
He says he did not fight back, and walked away.
The women had been in the company of some men, and the victim thinks it's possible these men were the ones who assaulted him.
The perpetrators were described as two males, both white and in their early 20's.
