Madison (WKOW) -- from Madison PD: On Monday afternoon, Madison Police were called to a Madison Metro Bus that had stopped outside of East Towne Mall.
The driver had discovered there might be a gun on the bus. It was thought to be with three teens that were sitting on the back of the bus.
Police contacted the teens and found one had CO2 cartridges in a jacket pocket.
These cartridges likely belonged to an air handgun, which was found underneath the seat where the young men had been seated.
A witness saw a 14-year old pull the gun from his waste band and toss it as police sirens approached.
The suspect was arrested and tentatively charged with Disorderly Conduct while Armed.
He was also cited for violating Madison's Truancy Ordinance.
