Madison (WKOW) -- from US Dept. of Justice: The United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced Friday that 25-year-old Brandon Johnson of Janesville was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb to 33 months in prison, followed by a six-year period of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute heroin.
Johnson pleaded guilty to this charge on August 29, 2008.
The charges against Brandon Johnson were the result of an investigation conducted by the Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force and the Madison Police Department.
On April 4, 2008, police executed a search warrant at a home where Johnson was staying on Raymond Road in Madison.
During the search of the home, police recovered 36 grams of heroin, along with packaging material, and a scale used to weigh the heroin.
The prosecution of the case was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Anderson.
