DeForest High School will close Tuesday after bomb threat found
MADISON (WKOW) -- From the DeForest School District:
DeForest Area High School will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday, November 11) due to a threatening note found at the high school this afternoon. The note stating a bomb would be in the school on Tuesday was found in a boys' restroom. School officials, along with the DeForest Police Department, are investigating the threat. At this time, authorities have been unable to determine that the threat is without merit and therefore have made the decision to cancel all classes and after-school activities, including parent-teacher conferences scheduled for tomorrow evening. We are deeply committed to the safety of our students and staff and will continue to work closely with the police department to continue investigating the incident.
NOTE: This affects the high school only. All other schools in the DeForest Area School District are open as usual tomorrow.
