Joe Krabbenhoft scored 12 points to lead No. 25 Wisconsin to a hard fought 64-47 win over Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater Tuesday night in the final exhibition game for the Badgers.
The Badgers allowed Whitewater to hang around through the middle of the second half until finally clamping down. Clinging to a 44-42 lead with just more than nine minutes to go, Wisconsin held the Warhawks scoreless for almost six minutes while reeling off a 9-0 run. The Badgers then pulled away in the final minutes.
The two teams slogged through a slow-paced game that featured 44 fouls.
Myles McKay scored 16 to lead the Warhawks.
